Insurance & Payment Made Simple

Insurance & Payment Made Simple

At Spring Oriental Medicine, we believe healthcare should be transparent from the beginning. Whether you’re using insurance or paying out of pocket, we’ll help you understand your coverage, fees, and payment options before your first appointment.

Our treatment recommendations are based on your individual healthcare needs—not insurance limitations.

Insurance Coverage

In-Network Insurance

We are currently in-network with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) PPO plans. Coverage and benefits vary by plan. We recommend verifying your specific acupuncture benefits before your visit.

Out-of-Network Insurance

If we’re not in-network with your insurance plan, you’re still welcome to receive care as a self-pay patient.

Depending on your plan, you may qualify for out-of-network reimbursement. Upon request, we can provide a detailed superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement cannot be guaranteed.

Self-Pay

Self-pay is available for patients whose insurance does not cover acupuncture or who prefer to pay directly for their care.

Before treatment begins, we’ll review your recommended care plan and answer any questions about expected costs.

HSA & FSA

Many acupuncture services may be eligible for payment using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).

If you’re unsure whether your plan covers acupuncture expenses, we recommend checking with your plan administrator.

Fees & Payment

We believe in transparent pricing and will explain any applicable fees before your first visit.

Services may include:

Service Fee
Initial Consultation & Acupuncture $145
Follow-Up Acupuncture $110
Initial Chinese Herbal Medicine Consultation $115
Follow-Up Chinese Herbal Medicine Consultation $65

We accept:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • HSA and FSA cards

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee.

If an emergency arises, please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your situation.
