Effective Date: September 16, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website springorientalmedicine.com (the “Site”), operated by Spring Oriental Medicine (“Spring Oriental Medicine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including any content, features, online scheduling tools, and services made available through the Site. By accessing or using the Site, booking an appointment through our online scheduling platform, or otherwise interacting with the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

1. About Our Practice

Spring Oriental Medicine is an acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine practice led by Ali Zhang, MD, PhD, L.Ac., DAOM, providing evidence-informed care for pain relief, women’s health, cancer care and recovery support, and whole-person wellness, with locations serving Chicago, Park Ridge, and surrounding communities.

2. Use of the Site

You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our servers, or any systems or networks connected to the Site.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or the servers or networks used to make it available.
  • Use any automated system, including “robots,” “spiders,” or similar data-gathering tools, to access the Site without our prior written consent.
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the Site.
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content except as permitted under Section 4 below.

3. No Medical Advice; Not a Substitute for Emergency Care

The content on this Site, including information in our Health Library and descriptions of conditions we treat, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not create a provider-patient relationship.

Always seek the advice of your physician, acupuncturist, or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or before beginning any new treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this Site.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not use this Site, email, or our online contact form to communicate urgent or emergency health concerns.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and all content it contains — including text, graphics, logos, images, the Spring Oriental Medicine name and branding, and the compilation and arrangement of that content — are the property of Spring Oriental Medicine or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view, print, or download portions of the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep all copyright and proprietary notices intact. You may not otherwise reproduce, republish, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission.

5. Appointments and Online Scheduling

The Site may allow you to request or book appointments through our online scheduling platform, Jane App, which is operated by a third-party provider and subject to its own terms of use and privacy policy. When you request or schedule an appointment, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.

  • Booking an appointment through the Site or our scheduling platform does not guarantee treatment; all care is subject to a clinical evaluation by Dr. Zhang or another qualified provider.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule, decline, or discontinue an appointment or course of care at our discretion, including where treatment is not clinically appropriate.
  • Cancellation, rescheduling, and late-arrival policies, as well as fees for missed or late-cancelled appointments, are provided separately at the time of booking or at your first visit; please contact our office directly with scheduling questions.

6. Fees, Insurance, and Payment

Information about rates and insurance provided on the Site is offered as a general guide and may not reflect current pricing, insurance coverage, or your individual plan benefits. You are responsible for confirming current rates, accepted insurance, and your coverage directly with our office and your insurance provider before receiving services. Payment terms will be communicated to you separately at or before the time services are rendered.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services, including our online scheduling platform (Jane App), social media pages (Instagram and Facebook), and other resources, which are not owned or controlled by Spring Oriental Medicine. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or service. Your use of any third-party site or service is subject to that party’s own terms and policies, and is at your own risk.

8. Testimonials and Reviews

Reviews and testimonials displayed on the Site reflect the individual experiences of the patients who provided them. Results, experiences, and outcomes vary from person to person, and testimonials are not a guarantee of any particular result. Testimonials are shared with the permission of the individuals who provided them.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content, materials, and services made available through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any information on the Site is complete, accurate, reliable, or current.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Spring Oriental Medicine, its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site will not exceed the amount, if any, you paid to us for use of the Site itself. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including with respect to clinical care, which is separately governed by applicable healthcare and professional liability standards.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Spring Oriental Medicine and its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide through the Site. Please review our Privacy Policy at springorientalmedicine.com/privacy-policy to understand our practices.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
